Winter Picture

This is a picture of the Navypier sign in Chicago. You can see nnow on the ground but but you can see the warm in the sky. Everything looks wonderful with snow on it. It makes objects look more cheery. This is a memory and a picture that will last forever. It just looks so wonderful and so pretty. I just love the winter season. This was taken last year in January, when my sister, Caitlin, and I went to go visit our brother, Patrick and his girlfriend, Sarah. We only went around the shops and we tryed not to go outside becasue it was cold. But I think that this picture is so beautiful. Good things really never happen twice, so I am really happy that I got this pictur when I did becasue it might not of happened again.

Winter!!!

I LOVE the winter season. It is probably my most favorite season. The only thing that I do not like is the freezing cold. One of the memories that I have is when I was 5 years old and my sister was 3. My dad put my sister and I in s small sled and started pulling us up and down small hills. the only part that I didn't like about that was that I had to hold my sister so that she didn't fall off or get hurt. Winter is the only time that you get to play in snow and last year when I was building a snowman with my cousins little boys we put muscles on the snowman so that he wouldn't be hurt or bullied by the other by the other snowmen. I think that winter is the time where you can make the most memories. Snow is what makes all of the magic happen.

Newscast Experience

For the newscast project it was interesting seeing what you could find on your subject and to see what others found. But it was also hard because you had to get a backround for your recording then when you were done with that you had to make sure that it looked good and if it didn't you had to do it a few more times. In the end of it all it looked good and you got to see what you did and what it looked like but it did take a lot of time and effort to finish it all.

Most Thankful For

I am most thankful for the tight bond that my family and I have with each other. Most families are not well bonded and some people don't even have families. I love my family and I don't know what I would do without them. I am also very grateful that I have a roof to live under because there are a percentage of people that live on the streets and don't make any money. Those are them maine points in life that you need and i happy that I have both of them.

Political Cartoon

The reason I picked this picture is because when I first saw it it made me laugh, then it made me think. When Obama and Clinton were going head to head that was their shtick. I think that is main point of humor is that it is true. Also they man in the corner of the picture for me is what makes the cartoon. Even though they did want change, it is how politics are and will always be no matter what. This is also funny because I think that is how they got where they are today because of the race and gender cards.

Inspirational Picture

This picture of the beach is inspirational to be because they beach is like your future in some ways. There are certain things that are a mystery to us and you never know what is there until it happens or you look. The beach is also one of the many mysteries of life. The beach, to me, makes you think of things maybe things you would have never of thought of before or just wonder a little bit more. It is also one of the many beauties of the world the creature that you will find it in. It is an inspiration to me and it is something that I will never get tired of seeing.

Newscast Project

The topic that I am doing for the newscast project is the movie The Haunting of Molly Hartley. I did this because I am a movie person and why not do a movie that is coming out? I am going to give a quick description of the movie then I am going to give my personal opinion. I was interesting to see the movie and get to read all about it but the movie wasn't all that good and when my group and I do the newscast I don't want to see what I look like or how I sound because it might be embarrassing.

Life Lesson

I think that my biggest life lesson was to not trust everyone or everybody that you know. I am saying this because some of my old friends would not be the best friends that I could have chosen. My sister has also had the same problem. They were the type of people that you would have their backs but they wouldn't have yours. Having friends like those is a waist of time and they are no good for you just the same. I would tell others that you may not know if they are really your friends at first but when you give them time their true identity will start to show. Your friends characterize who you are and you don't want to have bad friends.

Report Cards

I feel that most of my grades on my report card will be good the only one that I know that I didn't to so hot in is Spanish, but I don't think that it is terrible.
I wouldn't discourage my mom to not talk to any or just one of my teachers but I don't think that she should talk to everyone. Maybe she should just talk to the ones that I am doing the worst in, then she can talk with who ever she wants. I don't really think that what I get on this grading period will effect me that much. I know I am going to try to be better in every class no matter what. I want to try to get the best grades that I can possible get. I don't think that I would do the peer tutoring program because I know that I am not doing that bad in my classes and if I am then my mom is there to help me and so is my sister and some of my cousins that can help me in any way.

Jaws Trailer

The podcast that I am doing is on the movie Jaws for its time I thought that it was a pretty scary movie.

10 Things To Do In A Lifetime

1. See the Seven Wonders of the World. Not many get to do this and it would just be something so spectacular.
2. Bungee jumping. It just looks so much fun and I would love to get a picture to see what my face would look like.
3. Meet the President of the United States. To see what a conversation would be like and to see him up close.
4. Meet my favorite country stars. What they really think and how they really act.
5. Have something named after me whether it be big or small important or non important.
6. Have something to do with Disney in my life like work there or live near there because that is one of my favorite places on Earth.
7. Go on a few more cruses that go some where amazing to see the wonder there and to have a good time.
8. Have a successful life and job that would take me traveling everywhere. I could find treasures of somesort and be able to see all places.
9. Be the better person about everything, no matter what happens or the situation, to just have a good attitude.
10. To get married and to have a few children because that is something that everyone would love to have.

Voting in the Community

The logo that I chose to be the new sign for the city of Peoria was the one that was written in red and it had the outline of the city on the right top corner of the logo. That one just popped out at me I can't really explain why I like it but it was just one of those pictures that was an attention getter for me. Even though everyone was different in it's own way it just looked and felt more different then all of the other ones maybe that's why I liked it a little bit more then all of the others.

Favorite Halloween Costume

When I was five years old my mom made my costume. That years I was a pumpkin and my mom even made a hat to go with it. It was my favorite because I got got mare candy form that outfit and I won the costume contest at our church in Florida. There has only been one year that I didn't dress up for Halloween and I don't think that I will do that again because I feel that I missed to much excitment and candy. I'm not sure what I am going to be yet but I want to be something funny or someone from a funny movie. The reason for that is that one year I dressed up as a lumberjack man and I had tons of candyfor about two months.

iPhoto Name

For the iPhoto, making objects look like letters was exciting, fun and entertaining. Putting it together is a combination of easy and difficult. It's easy to make the slideshow but it is hard trying to make it the right size(not to big and not to small)and in the right direction. Some of the letters that I made might have been to big but that is cool with me, I can just take new ones of come up with a new idea of how to make the letter. This project is cool to see what others did for their letter and how they are putting them together and to see wht they will put for their pictures that define who they are. Some of the pictures that I have some what define who I am but they are just funny in the other way but I fine with waht I have and I am proud of it too.

Newsletter

In my groups newsletter there is a front, middle, and back page. On the front page is the name of our newsletter and our collaboration on homecoming and homecoming week. Middle has Maggie's, Jaycee's and my separate articles. I am writing about Spirit Day. Maggie is doing the homecoming parade. Jaycee is doing College/Grade School Day. Finally on the back page is Jazly'n article and she is writing about twin day and it also has our interview with the coach of the football team. We make our decisions just by asking each other what we think of this or if we could put something better in then what we have right now or even helping with each others articles to make sure that they sound good. When each of us does try to write out articles they do not come to us so easily so we just ask others what would sound good or how we should word the article.

Health Goal

I have already started my health goal this year by eating a salad everyday at lunch and when I get home I eat an apple instead of junk food or something like that. Sometimes around 7:30 my mom and I go walking around our neighborhood for thirty minutes or so. I would like to try to ealt healther some more and do a little more exercise. This would help me out in the future because I do not want to become overweight or have any health problems. Trying to run some more and I would love to get better at my pull-ups and push-ups because those just are not working out for me. In every way I do hope to get better about it.

Newsletter

In class people are getting into groups and making newsletters for Homecoming week. In my group there is Jazlyn, Maggie, and Jaycee. We each have to pick a topic to write about that happened this week and I chose Spirit Day. This seems like a fun assignment with the people that I am working with and what we are trying to do. At some points there was some difficulties but I think that we worked around them pretty good and hopefully we get an A on this project. What might be the hardest part I think is the pictures maybe and trying to figure out who we are going to interview for the paper. Other than that I feel really good about the assignment and what we are doing and who we are doing it with.

My Future

At Peoria Notre Dame I don't have an ideal GPA but I know that I want to get a C or higher in each class because it is a passing grade. In some classes I know I am doing good and others I could be doing better but so far my goal is met because I have no D's or F's. In all of my classes I am a good student, so there is no improvment there but I guess I could try to talk some more in all of them. When it is time to go to college I would like to go to FSU (Flordia State University) and hoping to be an architect or mabey a teacher. I to succede in my future. Having a goal is good but making sure that the goal is fulfilled is excilent and hopefully I will fulfill my goal.

Emotional Goal

I could not tell you if I am in a good or bad emotional state right now. That would have to be up to you to decide, but I do think that I am pretty much a happy person. My relationship with my parents is really good cause they are both probable my best friends. My siblings are another story. My sister Caitlin and I don't get along that well and hopefully that will get better and I want it to get better. My brothers, Brian and Patrick, and I may fight sometimes but not alot and we get along really well. At school I don't think that I have a bad relationship with any of my teachers and my friends and I never fight. Hopefully that will all stay the same. My emotional goal is to mabey not get so angery at my sister so much or in so many ways.

St. James PowerPoint

In technology class we are doing a powerpoint on a saint that we chose. I chose St. James the Apostle. The powerpoint was due today and everybody is presenting theirs tomorrow.
We had to make eight informational slides. I got to learn alot more about St. James when I did this. I thought that is was an interesting project but now as much fun as our key notes for the songs was. Hopefully I did a good job on it but if I did not then I am okay with that cause nobody is perfect.

Keynote Song Project

At first the keynote project seemed easy and started out easy but as it went along it got a little harder. I don't think that i'm going to get it done in time and then when we start to make the movie it might get even harder. I'm mabey half way done and i still need to add all of my pictures on all the story boards so then it will be done. Everytime I try to do that something always goes wrong or something wont work right. But hopfully I will get it done and hopfully it will look alright.

PND Mission Statement

At PND the school does a good job to make sure that we are tought about Christ in some way. Every teacher also does there best to do that also, like doing a prayer before class starts or adding something about Jesus on what the subject might be. In the mission statement it says "The purpose of Peoria Notre Dame High School is to nurture the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of our students." For me personaly, the school and teachers are doing just that.

technology class

At Peoria Notre Dame i am in this tech. class it is really cool cause we get to work with iMac's instead of windows. The class can be difficult at times but i am getting the hang of it. The teacher Ms. Perino makes it easy and she is really nice too. I can't wait to see what we do next in the class.
